Philanthropy is my way of getting things 'done' in the world. I enjoy supporting organizations that are able to actually accomplish the things that I know are important, but don't have the time, talent or energy to do them myself.
Many of the causes that I give to are focused on human rights. In my opinion, a world with more justice would have less strife. But I also give to Drexel because in many ways my education and Co-op opportunities were prerequisites for what success I have in the world today. The opportunity to work with computers in the early 80's, to see first hand how professionals comport themselves and the freedom to learn from on the job mistakes without them being fatal to my career positioned me to be where I am today.
I currently support Drexel financially, as a participant in our local alumni association, and by speaking positively to others who are looking for education opportunities or are interested in knowing more about the University.
