24 Hours of Impact: May 1, 2018
Drexel’s 2018 Day of Giving was a major success, and it’s all thanks to you!
On May 1, Drexel alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends from around the globe came together to change the game for the University. Over the course of 24 hours, we raised $933,471 from 4,229 donors, surpassing this year’s goal of 1,891 donors, and breaking last year’s record for the most donors and dollars ever raised in one day at Drexel!
Philanthropy changes the game every day at Drexel, and when the Dragon community comes together the collective impact is huge. 24 Hours of Impact is a single day focused on showcasing the difference we can make together.
Our alumni, students, parents, employees, and friends invested in Drexel’s future. Throughout the day, donors rallied around the areas of Drexel they love, and competed for $50,000 in challenge funds awarded to areas throughout the university. Challenge funds, made possible by the generosity of Drexel University’s Board of Trustees, added a level of competition and fun to philanthropy.
Donors could also increase their impact by investing their time in quick games to generate more money for the areas they supported.
The day may be over, but the impact of the community’s generosity will continue, enabling the University to strengthen our research initiatives, deepen our community outreach, and expand our students’ educational horizons.
If you didn’t have the chance to make a gift on Day of Giving, you can still change the game by making a gift today!
