A Message from President Fry
At a time when many colleges and universities are facing an unprecedented array of challenges, Drexel University is advancing with great strength, potential and purpose. We continue to deliver on our founder’s promise to provide well-rounded, practical and experiential learning and to ensure access and opportunity by opening our doors wide to each and every talented student.
Our incoming first-year class is more diverse and academically talented than those who preceded it. Nearly a third are the first in their families to go to college. Drexel alumni continue to lead in vital professions while serving as examples to our students, helping us maintain a high level of placement for co-ops in a range of essential and emerging fields.
This year, we also celebrate Drexel’s continued success through:
 |
New teaching and research spaces such as our extraordinary Health Sciences Building, which brings our College of Nursing and Health Professions and parts of the College of Medicine to our University City campus; |
 |
Our merger with Salus University, which will strengthen Drexel’s prominence in preparing interprofessional health sciences practitioners; |
 |
Enhancements to student experiences, including several planned renovations and additions in residential and athletics facilities; |
 |
St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, bringing world-renowned pediatric specialists and unmatched care to our neighbors; and |
 |
The Academy of Natural Sciences and The Environmental Collaboratory, creating solutions for and spearheading research on climate change, water and biodiversity. |
We make these critical investments in student success, high-impact research and meaningful civic engagement with the help of dedicated "Dragons", like you, who support the University’s future. Donors make it possible for Drexel to lead the way in areas like health, sustainability, advanced materials and manufacturing, computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and urban innovation.
That’s why your generous support is so important, Please join me in accelerating student success by making your gift today.
As we begin this promising academic year, we must continue to support the widest range of capable students from all backgrounds and further secure Drexel’s position as an innovative, agile and distinctive leader in higher education.
Thank you for investing in our University, our students and our shared future.
Sincerely,
John Fry
President
