Continuing Drexel’s Tradition of Giving

Drexel started the tradition of giving back to the University and investing in student success - a tradition that Dragons everywhere carry on today by making gifts to the areas of the University that they love.

The Student Philanthropy Council is currently accepting applications for new members during the 2023-2024 academic year. The Student Philanthropy Council (SPC) is a group of undergraduate Dragons between their 2nd and 5th year at the University who collaborate to foster a greater sense of Drexel pride on campus, educate the student body about philanthropy at Drexel and promote the tradition of giving amongst students.

As a Student Philanthropy Council member, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop valuable skills in fundraising, event management, social media marketing, public speaking and project management
  • Attend monthly meetings (typically over something to eat!)
  • Plan and volunteer at campus student philanthropy awareness events
  • Execute class initiatives like Senior Impact, which encourages seniors to make a donation of $20.24 prior to graduation
  • Fulfill your personal commitment to philanthropy by supporting an area(s) that are meaningful to you at Drexel
